Printing Gold: Our Collaboration with M1NT

If you’re part of the card community, you already know M1NTaverse is doing big things.

M1NT is a company built on innovation, creativity, and a true passion for collectibles. the brand has raised the bar for display cases and hobby storage by combining premium materials, clean design, and thoughtful engineering for both raw and graded cards.

So when M1NT came to us with a special project tied to an upcoming product push, I was excited to jump in.

The Gold Ticket Redemption Challenge

M1NT wanted to insert something truly special into their hobby cases: Gold Ticket Redemption Cards.

These were not just bonus inserts. They were a chance to win some serious prizes, including:

  • A 1989 Upper Deck Hobby Box featuring the iconic Ken Griffey Jr. rookie

  • The ultimate chase card, a 1994 Upper Deck Mickey Mantle and Ken Griffey Jr. dual autograph

Collectors know how legendary those prizes are. That meant the redemption cards themselves needed to feel just as special.

Finding the Right Material

For this project, M1NT needed a printing partner who could deliver something beyond standard cardstock.

To match M1NT’s vision and reputation for premium design, I needed to find a material that felt elevated the moment you held it.

We sourced a holographic paper that checked every box through one of my partners. The shine, texture, and overall quality instantly set these cards apart. It gave the Gold Ticket Redemptions the weight and presence they deserved.

Every detail mattered, from durability to how the light hit the surface. The end result was a redemption card that felt worthy of the prizes it represented and sparked real excitement within the community.
