Upper Crust Art Card Series
Custom trading cards created for the Upper Crust artist series in West Chester, PA.
Project Overview
Upper Crust is a collaborative art card project created by and for artists in the West Chester area. The goal was was to bring local artists together, share more artwork with the community, and create something collectible at the same time.
Each artist contributed one or two original pieces based around a single theme, pizza.
From there the artists took the idea in completely different directions. The result became a mixed artist trading card set where every card reflects a different style and personality.
Instead of producing traditional prints, the artwork was turned into collectible trading cards that can be opened in packs, traded, and shared. It brings the artwork into a format that feels fun, approachable, and connected to classic trading card culture.

Packaging Experience
The cards were packaged in foil trading card packs inspired by classic collectible card releases.
Each pack contains multiple cards from the series along with a mini card and sticker, creating the experience of opening a traditional trading card pack.
To add an element of surprise, some packs include special inserts. These can include artist signed cards or even an original sketch card created by one of the participating artists.
The idea is to bring a little rarity and excitement into the experience, just like classic trading card packs where you never know what you might find inside.
About the Series
Upper Crust was created as a way to bring artists together and introduce more people to the local art community.
By turning artwork into trading cards, the project creates a format that is easy to collect, trade, and share. Each release can feature different artists, themes, and styles while keeping the focus on collaboration and community.
