Turning an advocacy message into something people keep.
Let Experienced Pilots Fly advocates for changing the mandatory retirement age for airline pilots. They needed a way to explain the issue quickly, start a conversation and give people an easy next step.
But they didn’t want another brochure or handout. They wanted something people would actually pick up, look at and keep.
That’s where the trading card came in.

Building the message into the card.
The front had one job: earn the pickup. The back had another: explain the issue and give the person holding it something to do next.
Working with Barry and the LEPF team, we refined the message into a simple sequence that could work at trading-card size without feeling like a miniature brochure.
A collectible aircraft design built around LEPF’s new visual direction, with the Boeing 767 launching the series.
The issue, why LEPF believes experience matters, and a direct call to action through RaiseThePilotAge.com.
Card #01 establishes a system that can continue across additional aircraft while keeping the campaign recognizable.
One card became the start of a visual system.
As the first card came together, LEPF began carrying the look beyond the card itself.
The aircraft imagery, aviation inspired details and collectible format helped shape a refresh of RaiseThePilotAge.com. The new homepage carries the same visual language as Card #01, including the campaign line and rotating aircraft concept.
As the series grows, the physical cards and website can reinforce each other, connecting the card someone receives in person with the campaign they discover online.
A card is made to be kept.
A flyer delivers information. A trading card becomes an object.
It’s small enough to hand someone in a meeting, substantial enough to feel intentional, and familiar enough that people instinctively turn it over.
For LEPF, that meant the front could create interest while the back carried the message and the next step.
If you have an ask, you have a card.
LEPF’s card is about pilot retirement. Yours doesn’t have to be.
