Buying Sandlot Summit Trading Cards

Turning Conference Networking Into a Collectible Experience

Custom trading card packs created for 420+ founders, operators, investors, and industry leaders. Designed to spark conversations, encourage connections, and create a memorable shared experience throughout the summit.

The Goal

Conferences are filled with interesting people, but meaningful connections don't always happen naturally.

The Buying Sandlot Summit brings together founders, operators, investors, and leaders from across the youth sports industry. Instead of creating another giveaway item that would be forgotten by the end of the event, the goal was to create something attendees would actively engage with throughout the summit.

The Solution

Trading Card Memories designed a custom trading card series featuring speakers, founders, operators, and industry leaders attending the event.

The cards were packaged into sealed foil packs and distributed to attendees throughout the summit.

Each pack contained a different mix of cards, encouraging attendees to compare collections, trade duplicates, and seek out people featured in the set.

Attendees received custom foil packs featuring speakers from across the summit.

Each card introduced a speaker, and the panel they were part of.

The cards gave attendees a natural reason to start conversations with other attendees.

Attendees left with keepsakes tied to the people, panels, and ideas from the summit.

Johnny created over 50 custom cards for over 400 attendees at our conference and they were a HUGE HIT with everyone.

The Experience

The cards were distributed in sealed foil packs throughout the summit, giving attendees a unique way to discover the people and companies in the room.

Each card featured a summit speaker on the front, with information about their company, panel discussion, and fellow panelists on the back. Attendees opened packs throughout the event, learning about speakers they had not yet met and gaining additional context before attending sessions.

The cards quickly became a conversation starter. Attendees compared who they had pulled, discussed speakers they were excited to hear from, and used the cards as a natural way to introduce themselves to one another.

What began as a simple pack opening became an interactive part of the summit experience.

The Result

The trading cards became much more than an event giveaway.

By featuring summit speakers, their companies, and the panels they participated in, the cards gave attendees a fun and memorable way to learn more about the people shaping the conversations throughout the event.

Throughout the summit, attendees could be seen opening packs, comparing cards, discussing speakers, and using the cards as a starting point for conversations. What began as a simple collectible quickly became part of the event experience itself.

When the summit concluded, attendees left with more than notes and business cards. They left with a collectible keepsake that captured the people, ideas, and relationships that made the event memorable.
