Durham Dirtbags Sandlot Team Cards
Custom trading cards created for the Durham Dirtbags sandlot baseball team.
Project Overview
The Durham Dirtbags wanted a fun way to celebrate their team and capture the spirit of sandlot baseball.
Instead of a traditional team photo or social media post, the idea was to create a full trading card set featuring everyone on the roster.
I worked with the team to turn their original concept into a complete custom trading card release. Each player received their own card and the full set was packaged into heat sealed foil packs so the team could open them just like classic trading cards.
Sandlot baseball is all about fun, friendship, and playing the game for the love of it. The cards were designed to reflect that same energy while giving the team something memorable to keep from the season.

Packaging Experience
Opening a pack of 2025 Durham Dirtbags Series 1 Sandlot Team Trading Cards
The team set was packaged in custom heat sealed foil trading card packs.
Each pack contained the full team set, recreating the classic feeling of opening trading cards as a kid. The foil packs added excitement to the experience while turning the team cards into something collectible.
Opening the packs gave the Dirtbags the same thrill of ripping packs from the hobby, except this time the players themselves were part of the set.
Sandlot Team Cards
Sandlot teams represent some of the best parts of baseball. Friends getting together, playing for fun, and enjoying the game without the pressure of organized leagues.
Trading cards are a perfect way to capture that energy.
Instead of a typical team keepsake, every player gets their own collectible card while still being part of the full team set.
