Pepperdine Waves Baseball Cards

Custom trading cards created for the 2026 Pepperdine Waves baseball team.

Project Overview

The Pepperdine Waves baseball program wanted to create something special for the 2026 team. The goal was to give players a collectible keepsake while also creating something fun to share with fans during home games.

The final project became a full team trading card set featuring the entire 38 player roster along with a checklist card for the series.

Each player received their own card featuring their photo and player details. The full set was then packaged into foil trading card packs that were given to the team and also used as a promotional giveaway at Pepperdine home games.

The result was a collectible team set that players could keep from the season while fans had the chance to open packs and discover players from the roster.

Packaging Experience

The cards were packaged in foil trading card packs inspired by classic sports card releases.

Each pack contains 10 random player cards from the 38 card roster along with 1 checklist card. This allows players and fans to open packs and discover different players from the team.

Pepperdine used the packs in two ways. Full sets were given to players as a season keepsake, and additional packs were distributed during home games as a promotional giveaway for fans.

The pack format adds excitement to the experience while turning the team roster into something collectible and fun to open.

About Team Card Projects

Trading cards are a unique way for teams to celebrate a season and create something players can keep long after the games are over.

Unlike traditional team photos or programs, trading cards give every player their own collectible while still being part of a complete team set.

Turning a roster into trading cards creates something players, families, and fans genuinely enjoy collecting.
